The history project with Knowsley Archive has been an unforgettable experience for our children at Halewood C of E Primary School. The children have spent 15 fun filled sessions with a very talented team, who we cannot thank enough for all of their hard work. During this time, our children have experienced a trip to the library archive; a walk around Halewood’s community; along with photography, art and writing sessions. Every session has been different and full of fun, and an excellent opportunity for the children to develop a range of skills including: their historical knowledge, photography, team work, confidence, writing skills and speaking and listening.
As a result of the project, the children now have a much clearer idea of how Halewood as a community has changed over time. They have thoroughly enjoyed using cameras to capture Halewood today for future generations to look back at.
All of our children worked hard, showing commitment, dedication and enthusiasm for their learning. We would all like to thank everyone involved for this amazing opportunity.
