Our School Curriculum

From the moment our children set foot through the nursery, until the day that they leave after a successful eight years of learning and growing together, we strive for them to have the best possible foundations from which they can reach their full potential.

We have an inspiring curriculum that has been carefully designed and sequenced to allow all children to become confident and fluent with powerful knowledge and vocabulary. Our curriculum also enables our children to develop values, life-skills and character traits that will enable them to have a successful future

At Halewood Church of England Primary School, we use the Read Write Inc (RWI) programme to get children off to a flying start with their literacy. RWI is a method of learning centred round letter sounds and phonics, and we use it to aid children in their reading and writing.  You can find more information about Phonics along with Reading for Pleasure in our READING tab below.

If you have any queries or would like to discuss our phonics programme further, please contact the school office (0151 487 5673).

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic some of our curriculum delivery, for example school trips, are likely to be affected.  We will endeavour to provide as many opportunities as we can for all our pupils - every decision will have the safety of our school community at its heart.
