• Bronze Award: Sainsbury's School Games Mark

  We've had some fantastic news!  Halewood CofE has been awarded the Sainsbury's School Games Mark - Bronze.

   

  The Sainsbury's School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.

  

• Children's University Languages and Story Telling

  Children’s University and Liverpool Hope University have teamed up to offer year 5 and 6 pupils an exciting opportunity to attend a fun, educational and interactive language and storytelling ‘lecture’ in a real University lecture theatre.

   

  The session is completely free and each attendee will receive 2 learning hours / credits towards their overall Children’s University certification.

   

  SATURDAY 17th OCTOBER   AT LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY, LECTURE THEATRE COMPLEX TAGGART AVE, CHILDWALL, L16 9JD.   PROGRAMME DETAILS   9.30 – 10.00 Arrival and registration   10.00 – 10.15 Welcome to Liverpool Hope & Children's University.   10.15 - 11.30 Children will take part in the following two sessions during this time:   ‘Fairy Tales in Another Language’ – Children will retell a well-known fairy tale in a foreign language.   The session will be interactive, fun and will help children with their language skills.   ‘The Day the Crayon Quits’ – Children will be involved in reading the story and explore the characters by acting, drawing and asking questions.   11.30am – 12.00 Optional tours of the campus (mums & dads welcome too)   AGES – Open to Year 5 & 6 Pupils (Limited Spaces Available)

• Ultimate Brain

  Three Halewood CofE pupils were chosen to take part in CBBC's Ultimate Brain.  The episode was recorded in April 2015 and was televised today (Saturday 5th September) @ 9.30am.  Below is a link to the CBBC iPlayer where the 30 minute episode will run for a month.

• Liverpool Ladies FC

  The FA is keen to use the recent success of the England Lionesses in the Woman’s World Cup to encourage more girls and young women to play and watch women’s football.

   

  Liverpool Ladies FC are our local Woman’s Super League 1 Club. The next two home games between top WSL1 clubs will be very exciting, closely fought matches and a fantastic source of inspiration of just how far women’s football has come.

   

  The next 2 home games at Select Security Stadium are:
