Admission Arrangements
Admissions
The arrangements for the admission of children to school are under the control of the Governors, normally operating through their Admissions Committee.
For Reception and Nursery Admissions we require a copy of your child's full birth certificate along with proof of address in the form of a utility bill within the last 3 months or a Council Tax bill.

APPEALS TIMETABLE
For September 2024 entry (Primary)
Halewood Church of England Primary School follows Knowsley's Appeals Timetable.
Appeals resulting from the year of entry for admission in September 2023 will be heard according to the following timetable:-
Offer date | Appeals lodged by | Appeals heard by | |
Primary | 16 April 2024 | 17 May 2024 | June 2024 onwards |
Appeals lodged after these dates will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
All appellants will be sent notification of their appeal hearing at least 10 clear school days in advance of the hearing.
All appellants will be sent a copy of the school’s case a reasonable time before the date of the hearing.
If any appellant wishes to submit additional evidence which was not included with their initial appeal, they must make sure that it is received within a reasonable time prior to the hearing date (normally three working days). Any additional evidence or information received too late may not be able to be considered at the appeal hearing. The appeal panel must decide whether it should be considered taking into account its significance and the effect of a possible need to adjourn the hearing.
In-year appeals
Appeals resulting from in-year admission applications will be heard on a date to be arranged within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged with the Authority.
