Christian Values for Life

Halewood C of E Primary School has embraced the Diocesan document ‘Christian Values for Life’ and all staff actively incorporate the key values into all areas of the curriculum and the physical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of school life. We have adopted the values and created a Halewood Child of Excellence scheme and these form the basis of all our collective worship. A value is focused upon every half term at the end of which two children from each class are nominated to receive the Halewood Child of Excellence Award. Parents are invited to a celebration assembly where these children receive medals and certificates for displaying attitudes and behaviours that reflect the particular value.

Halewood CE’s approach to Religious Education meets the requirements of the 1988 Education Reform Act, providing access to Religious Education for all children, including within EYFS.
